Biography

With nine years of independent film and television production experience in Los Angeles, Mr. Henry arrived in Dallas in 1985 as Vice-president and General Manager of Professional Scenic Services, a full service set design and construction firm at the Studios at Las Colinas.

After providing construction co-ordination services on high profile projects like David Byrne's True Stories, Oliver Stone's Talk Radio, and multiple industrial and commercial projects, a desire for more creative involvement led Mr. Henry to return to the design field in 1988. As a free-lance art director and project manager, Mr. Henry maintained an impressive corporate clientele that included Electronic Data Systems, Radio Shack, J.C Penney and the Boy Scouts of America. Television and feature film credits during this time included the NBC situation comedy 13 East, MGM's After Midnight, and the HBO golf feature Dead Solid Perfect.

In 1993 Mr. Henry collaborated on the development of the much-acclaimed PBS television show Wishbone. For his contributions within the production group he was awarded the prestigious Peabody Award in 1997, and individually, as Production Designer, was the recipient of Emmy Awards for Art Direction, Set Decoration and Scenic Design in 1998 and 1999.

More recently, Mr. Henry has continued to expand his involvement in emerging

technologies. His display design work was utilized by Texas Instruments' infant DLP chip division for the industry trade shows Photokina in Cologne, Germany and at Comdex in Las Vegas. He has served as a visual design consultant for Ericcson's Geoportal project, a wireless application prototype and as creative director for Viewics Corporation, developing engaging animated surrounds for video e-mail.

Mr. Henry lives in Dallas with his wife, Dr. Deborah Moreland, a writer and chair of the English Department at the prestigious Hockaday School. They have two sons, Benjamin, a senior at Lake Highlands High School and admitted gaming geek, and Toby, a seventh grader at the Science, Technology and Leadership Magnet at Westwood Junior High School in Richardson.
